I can count on 1 hand...

I can count on 1 hand how many times Christopher has been sick. He is 2 years and 5 months old and he has had 1 stomach virus (he was 1.5), he has 1 cold (well 2 now) and he had 1 virus or teething episode when he was alittle over a year.
About 1 month after Christopher turned 1 he had a fever 3 days in a row at 3pm. That was it. No other complaints and no other symptoms.
When he was 1.5 he had a stomach virus and vomited 2x.
When he was almost 2 he had a cold he could not get rid of and had to have an inhaler a few times a day for a week and now... now he has a cold and a fever (only at night) I took him to the doc today and his ears were clear, his throat was fine and his urine came back fine, so again just a virus that his body has to fight off.

I would say we have been lucky.... he has been sick far less than other kids his age but still I hate it. I hate that he is not 100% and there is NOTHING I can do about it. I have him in my bed sleeping right now (Chris has been evicted until he gets better). I just need to have him next to me in case he needs me. Hopefully tonight he will be without fever and he will be on the road to recovery. If he is not better by Friday I have to take him back to the doctor.

Today Christopher had to give a urine sample. This would not be so bad if he were potty trained, which he is not. So we stuck (literally) a plastic bag around his p*nis and waited for him to go. I made him drink a ton and sure enough he says to me Mommy I just went pee pee... I was happy he went so we could have it tested but now I know he knows.... so we are going to really try to potty train. He tells me when he has to poop and now when he has to pee so why not... We'll try. God knows he has full control over this. I am at his mercy.

I am going through withdrawals....

I LOVE the holidays and I am very sad that they are over. Christopher and I had the best Holiday Season. I was off from work from December 14th - January 2nd. It was PERFECT. We got to enjoy the season and spend quality time together. No rushing around, no trying to fit everything into a weekend. It was just me and Christopher for 2 weeks. We had playdates, we stayed home and played, we went to see Blues Clues Live (see picture above of Christopher and "Steve"), we went to a Winter Wonderland Party at Once Upon A Treetop, we shopped, we saw Santa ( a few times) we had breakfast with Santa but most of all we just enjoyed the time together... that was of course until I had to go back to work, he was MAD. He did get over it but it was sad to leave him after that much one on one time.
Christopher LOVES Christmas. He asked for a red dog named Pluto, yup, you read that right. He did not want Clifford, he wanted a real red dog he could name pluto. That was fun. Santa found 2 red dogs... 1 was a dyed pound puppy and the other was a dog toy. The dyed one was interesting, everytime Christopher sucked his thumb and touched the dog the dye would bleed off onto his finger. That dog is now sleeping on a shelf. The other red dog he plays with. Christopher got a Ford F-150 pick up truck, a grocery store (fully stocked with Melissa and Doug food, Thank you Aunt Kendra), cars, trucks, play doh, a shaving kit, doctors kit, video game system (V Tech), race tracks, a play house for outside and a big wheels. Sounds ridiculous huh, well try fitting that in our 3 bedroom ranch!!!
I was alittle spoiled this year too....Chris got me a beautiful diamond bracelet, a camera, an ipod and tickets to see Mary Poppins.
I also got Wii. I know I am such a geek but I love it.
I am very sad Christmas is over, this year was so much fun. I know it will only get better from here.
